 About the artist

Having left Cornwall at the age of 18 I was fortunate enough to be able to see much of the world during the course of my working life and to experience the diverse cultures and customs of many countries. 

However, it was only recently, on returning to my roots in Cornwall after 50 years, that I have come to truly appreciate the magic of this unique and beautiful County and the renewed friendships from my youth, which have endured through five decades. 

Thanks to Derek and Wendy I was able to become a member of the Padstow art group and as a novice, I am thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to develop my artistic inclinations, which I had never previously made time for in my life. 

The Padstow art group sets very high standards, which I find inspirational and the group is also friendly, sociable and only too willing to share their knowledge and experience with beginners such as myself.
