Barbara Flanagan

About the
artist....
" I always wanted to
'have a go' at painting and promised myself I would do it one day. That day came when I reduced my working hours
and found an adult education class, Water Colours for Beginners. I learnt a lot from Shirley Sargeant and I was
pleased with my efforts. A friend, Dinah Pepler introduced me to the Padstow Art Group in
2007.
I've tried several
different mediums but my favourites are water colours and acrylics. I love being taught and learning new
techniques, and I try to do something different with each new project.
Painting has given me
enormous pleasure and I will never forget the thrill when I actually sold my first painting! The Art Group has
given me new friends and the confidence to continue my new hobby."
